Lena Dunham has become a household name in only a year and a half, and it comes as no surprise. Her hit show GIRLS has created a cult-like following in such a short period of time. The series is centered around a close group of 20 somethings in New York City, and deals with everything from drugs, sex, relationships to neurological disorders like OCD. Lena often uses some of her own personal experiences when writing for her character Hannah. The show resonates with people because it’s written and shot in such a raw and authentic way. Season 3 just kicked off after the Golden Globes last weekend, and by the looks of it, we have an incredible season to look forward to. For the NYC premiere Anna Wintour came out to support Lena and her cast wearing an incredible Prada SS14 fur coat, while Lena wore a Rodarte dress.
For the February 2014 issue of Vogue, Lena Dunham is front and center as the cover girl. This further proves it was no fluke that Anna had come out to support the season 3 premiere. of GIRLS. Check out the cover and the stunning shots from the story below. The story was produced by Fashion Editor Tonne Goodman and shot by one of Vogues photographers of choice Annie Leibovitz. Lena is shot with her onscreen boyfriend Adam Driver, who also has been recognized through the shows success, now featured in campaigns for The Gap. The duo are shot in set ups that look like they could be stills from the show, aside from the fact Lena is wearing designers like Celine, Rochas and Alexander Mcqueen.
