Tom Ford enlists Lady Gaga to take one of the seasons most anticipated shows to the small screen in lieu of the runway.

When it comes to fashion month one of the biggest shows across the board is Tom Ford. While he normally shows his womenswear in London, he was noticeably absent form the LFW schedule. Last season he did choose to show in L.A during academy awards week with a front row jammed full of the biggest names in entertainment. He alluded that one of the many celebrities in the audience would be in his second film project, “Nocturnal Animals”, after a wildly successful “A Single Man” in 2009.
Ford told WWD: “Instead of having a traditional show this season, I decided to try something new. I wanted to think about how to present a collection in a cinematic way that was designed from its inception to be presented online.”
The video features Lady Gaga along side models Mica Arganaraz, Lexi Boling, Kayla Scott, Xiao Wen Ju, Valery Kaufman, Aymeline Valade, Lida Fox, Lucky Blue Smith, Alex Dunstan, David Agbodji and Tarun Nijje. The video was filmed in L.A and shot by Nick Knight of Showstudio. The song on the track is remake of the 1978 classic by chic, “I want your love”, and is performed by Lady Gaga.
“Having a runway show has become so much about the creation of imagery for online and social media and watching a filmed fashion show can be like watching a filmed play,” said Ford in a statement. “It was a great deal of fun to do and I think that the video captures the spirit of the collection in a way that a filmed traditional show would not have.”
