NATHAN EDWIN JOHN PARKER
What’s your secret dream job?
Which famous person (alive or dead) do you turn to for inspiration?
Serena Williams!! I’ve been OBSESSED with her since the 1999 US Open when I first saw her on TV and last summer got to watch her win the US Open in person. Something about her ferocity on court and ability to simply shut out everything else that may be going on. I still get JUICED every time I watch her play. Everything about her is FULL OUT.
If you could fly anywhere, where would you go this weekend and who would you bring with you?
I would go to Paris. I’ve dreamt of falling in love during a vacation to Paris all my life. I’ve never been to the city of light and there is something so alluring about it for me. I CANT wait to explore Paris. I would take my “Buabes”: Anna, Clay, Joseph, Andrew and the rest of the “JULIES” aka my besties.
PLACES – NEW YORK CITY
At what restaurant did you last eat your favorite meal?
Nomad at the Nomad Hotel on 28th. Gentlemen sipping scotch but in a super hip hotel with great drinks and unbelievable food. It’s always crazy getting a reservation but well worth it to do at least once.
Where is your favorite place to unwind and have an early evening cocktail?
Milk and Honey: a TINY hole in the wall in the Lower East Side, you need a reservation; they DO NOT have a cocktail menu. It’s an inconspicuous unmarked building that used to be a fierce old speakeasy. Basically you are seated and the waitress comes over to ask what you are having. They ONLY have dark alcohol and the waitress just told us to give her a few adjectives and a liquor choice and they would take care of the rest.
What’s your favorite thing to do that you can only do in New York City?
Soaking in the energy of the city… there is ALWAYS so much going on. There are clubs every night rocking until the wee hours of the morning, sporting events almost daily, people are out in the streets and alive at all times and it’s nice to just have that feeling that if you want something you just have to walk out your front door and go find it. It’s not an easy city but that comfort of everything you need being available at almost any hour 7 days a week is something one can only get from NYC.
What’s the one item in your closet you could never live without?
A vintage YSL denim jacket that was a hand me down from a fashion bear… it fits me perfectly and I wear it almost all year round. It feels like I’ve owned it for decades and I couldn’t love it more. I probably wear it too often.
What do you ALWAYS have to bring with you when you travel?
I would have to say my Want Essentials De La Vie travel wallet. It keeps everything safe and secure. It’s a great company out of Montreal and I never fly without it.
