THE SOCIAL LIFE X NORDSTROM MEN’S STYLE GUIDE

The Social Life teamed up with fashion powerhouse Nordstrom to bring you the in’s and out’s of men’s fashion for the coming season. Fashion stylist, Ghazal Elhaei, curated a selection of looks for every gentlemen out there. From the boys who brunch, to urban dwellers and business boys; there is a look to shop at Nordstrom’s men’s department.

BOYS WHO BRUNCH

Brunch is easily one of our favourite meals of the week. You get a chance to not set an alarm, and start your day at your leisure. Boys who brunch is the ultimate ode to the weekend – whether you are couriering your breakfast in, or hitting up a patio – we highlighted our favourite looks for brunching with your boys (or gals.) One of our favourite looks this season was a Maison Margiela Suit which we paired with a graphic Ben Sherman t-shirt and sand-coloured plain toe derby shoe by The Rail. Your brunch uniform is the quintessential base to carry you through the entire summer season.

MAN UP

A suit is probably one of the most quintessential items every modern man should own. While most people equate a suit to dressing up or work wear, it is infact one of the most versatile things you can own. The same blazer and pant could be dressed up with a classic oxford shirt, tie and cap-toe oxford shoe, or worn with a graphic sweater and white sneakers for a more dressed down look. When it comes to summer don’t be afraid to play with colour as well as pattern blocking for a cool summer look.

URBAN JUNGLE

Urban style has changed a lot in the last few years, especially how you see it interpreted in the streets. A big part of this look is playing with silhouettes and layers. The more graphic the better, don’t be afraid to crank the volume up, like this Moschino Sweatshirt. Reinterpretations of classics like the bomber jacket are modernized with a longer length. Also, you need to make sure your sneaker game is 100 like these bold red patent sneakers with gold details by Giuseppe Zanotti.
