Wes Anderson has done it again.  His latest masterpiece Moonrise Kingdom hit the theatres a couple of weeks ago.  There are only two words to describe: MIND BLOWING.  Our editor-in-chief went into it knowing almost nothing about it, so we aren’t going to reveal much.  Just know this: Moonrise Kingdom is everything you could need, want, crave and demand out of Wes Anderson.  The warm colours, heart breaking characters, slow motion montages and a powerful soundtrack.  However, in our opinion, Moonrise is Wes Anderson’s strongest film to date.  The movie is filled with bits of Royal Tenenbaums, Darjeeling Limited, Rushmore, The Life Aquatic and even Fantastic Mr. Fox.  Anderson’s influence is taken from his own work and he has reworked it into the a beautiful single piece of art.  The movie is SPECTACULAR.  When Tilda Swindon hits the screen, your breath will literally be knocked out of you.  Anna sat in the theatre for a sold five minutes after the film and just bawled.  No exaggeration.  If you need an escape into something of pure beauty and true romance, do yourself a favour and go see Moonrise Kingdom.  NOW. -Anna T Fabulous of TSL
