Today is the final day of NYFWM’s first season, and it’s been quite the season so far. Today John Varvatos will be showing today at 8pm, instead of his usual spot during the Milan collections. John Varvatos is known for the rock & roll aesthetic he brings to his line; a true reflection of his love for music. He¬†debuted his first collection in 2000, saw rapid growth from the get go. In 2000 he was awarded the Perry Ellis award for Menswear by the CFDA, and the following year in 2001 won Designer of the year at the CFDA Awards. In 2005 he was awarded menswear designer of the year and in 2007 GQ named him designer of the year.

This week they have been sharing photos with the hashtag #seeingstripes of iconic NY fixtures and skylines.
