The stars were out celebrating the best of BC film and television at this year’s annual Leo Awards Gala. This year, Eco Fashion Week was brought in to add a little more local celebration to this night of glitter and glamour. EFW hosted an exclusive gift lounge generously sponsored by Value Village at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, highlighting what can only be described as eco-luxe.
It was great to see so many local and eco-conscious products being showcased, and with such a diverse range of products there was literally something for everyone. Santevia was there showcasing their Alkaline Energy Flask, a portable solution for those wishing to enjoy their mineral rich alkaline water on the go. An added bonus is the awesome array of colours that the flask comes in. Personally, I was all over the candy floss pink.
La Biosthetique, long time friend and sponsor of Eco Fashion Week, was in attendance with their fantastic cell-active repair hand cream. If you haven’t tried their products I thoroughly recommend them. They’re both eco-friendly and effective!
The battle of the best aroma was played out between local soap maker
PUKAlily, coffee roaster Milano Coffee, Smell This Aromatherapy and Salt Spring Candles, which between them is sure to make the best bath-time combo ever.
Other great eco-friendly brands such as Nature’s Path, David’s Tea, Strathcona 1890 and Thera Wise were also in attendance.
Congratulations to The Leo Awards, Eco Fashion Week, Value Village and Fairmont Hotel Vancouver for putting on such a great event, and for introducing us to so many fantastic eco brands. I have no doubt that next year we can expect this powerhouse partnership to bring us something even bigger and better!
