It’s hard to believe what Beats by Dre has accomplished since entering the premium headphones market in 2008. In only 5 years been able to take over 51% of the premium headphones market. This is not surprising based on the impressive quality and functionality they have created with the line. The Beats by Dre line allows people like you and I to experience the quality and emotion one gets from hearing the playback in the studio. Collaboration is nothing new to the Beats by Dre Brand, already collaborating with Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, David Guetta on Sean “Diddy” Combs to name a few. Their newest collaboration is one of fashions biggest heavy hitters and the epitome of cool, Alexander Wang. Alexander Wang has quickly catapulted himself through the fashion industry with his sleek, clean and edgy aesthetic. With his unwavering momentum this young designer has become a member of New Yorks fashion royalty, and one of the hottest and most sought after shows at NYFW. On December 16th Beats by Dre x Alexander Wang will be released, including his take on the signature Beats Studio Headphones, the Beats Pill wireless speaker and the Urbeats ear buds. The pale gold accents and matte black finish are indicative of Alexander Wangs design aesthetic. Each item comes with it’s own glossy embossed Stingray cases with pale gold zippers and clips.
Alexander Wang says, “The limited edition collection for Beats by Dr. Dre include my favorite headphones and portable speaker, which I personally love to use. For this collaboration with Beats by Dr. Dre, it felt right and a natural choice for me to give the Beats Studio headphones, Beats Pill and Urbeats earbuds a clean, minimal look with a luxe sensibility.”
I have no doubt about the success of this collection, based on it’s overall design and chic details. If that wasn’t enough, the Beats by Dre Studio headphones have been named one of Oprah’s Favourite Things of 2013! “It’s no secret that Beats are my favorite headphones, and the latest version is the best yet: Besides the usual crisp sound and comfy ear cups, this lightest-ever model has new noise-canceling technology and can be charged via USB port.”—Oprah
